“game could not be started” Errors
Big Monkey | December 9, 2007 | 6:38 pmI noticed that some people were getting errors like: (game could not be started) (8002014C)
First make sure your psp is using the 1.50 kernel.
Hold R and go into the recovery menu and check your configuration settings to see whether your PSP mode is set to 1.50 kernel. If it is not then set it to 1.50, and make sure that “No-UMD” is off and you have a game UMD in the psp .
Also make sure you put your game ISOs in the GAME150 folder on your psp.
If you still get these errors try upgrading to a new custom firmware.
In a few days we will have a guide up for how to upgrade to the newest Custom Firmware “3.71 M33-3″ so you can play all the newest games on your psp.

In recovery console, it says folder is homebrew?…..I don’t see a game150 folder, ……..

Also can 3.90 M33-3 be downgraded?

I have tried to change my kernel (1.50), I need a UMD to play games (GTA Liberty City Stories Patched version (update 2.60)), my version is M33-3, it has a TA-082 motherboard. I normally put the isos/csos in an “ISO” folder I made. I tried to play them while they’re in the “GAME150″ folder but they don’t appear in the XMB (MemoryStick). Tried to put them in the “GAME” folder and still don’t work. The new games (Sims 2 Castaway, Xiaolin Showdown and more) don’t work in the ISO folder and GAME150 folder.
PLEASE BIG MONKEY, HELP ME. THIS HAPPENED IN 3.40 OE-A TOO!

I did it with GTA and it worked, no sound though.
If anyone know about the sound thing please help me, and hope my answers helped you who couldnt play the games!!!
